Task: the definitions of persavive computing , ambient computing ,
Ubiquitous computing , Disappearing
computing
:
Pervasive
Computing
IS EMBBEDED technology which is used on everyday devices in the environment
moving on from normal pc.
Pervasive computing aims to create a constant connection between
the environment and technology. For example a connection between mobile phone
and a gas cooker can be made.
Ubiquitous
computing
Is also the same as pervasive computing, it’s when normal
computing is evolving from normal everyday computers to everyday devices.
the above image shows how an everyday computer as evolved into smart televisions that have the same functions as a PC.
Ambient
computing
Is when devices respond to computer interaction, and example of
ambient computing is going to front door of your house and a camera recognises the
person face and then the door opens , are sensitive lights and cooking
appliances or even voice recognised .
here is an image of robot that will be controlled using ambient technology , for example this will be controlled using the kinect

Disappearing
computing
The generic idea that computers will be around us in our environment
and we won’t even know it. For example I
thought the idea of disappearing computing was that there will be less computers and we
will move on to tablets , smartphones and other
media devices however this means the technology will be everywhere in clothes
, food and other normal day to day appliances without us knowing , the link
below from bill gates predicts this will happen by 2010 .
